I am the owner of Advanced Tactical LLC. I also am currently a Lieutenant and a former Special Weapons and Tactics Team Leader. I have been in law enforcement since 2003 and a SWAT team member since 2005. In 2007 I attended my first active shooter instructor course through the National Tactical Officers Association. Over the years I have also attended courses put on by Kansas City Metro Tactical Officers Association, Government Training Institute, Strategos International, & Mitigation Dynamics.
In 2013 I developed and began teaching the Civilian Response to Armed Intruders course. It became apparent that the majority of the armed intruder incidents were over prior to police arrival. Every minute that passes during an Armed Intruder event feels like an eternity. With the majority ended prior to police arrival everyone needs to know what can be done to keep themselves and everyone else alive.
How to Respond to an Armed Intruder is a course that everyone needs to attend. It will not only teach techniques to keep them safe at work but also in every aspect of their daily travels. Several of the Armed Intruders in todays society have developed because of hostile/disgruntled workplaces, bullying/harassing, misuse of social media, and terroristic ideologies.

I have expanded the courses that I offer from not only Armed Intruder Response but into the areas of Work Place Violence (Employees/Supervisors), Social Media/Cyber Security, and Robbery.
